This 22" x 28" oil painting was painted in 1985.
Past Kerville, from a little cabin by the road. Looking all the way to my
left, there is a Cave in the distance. The water goes through a culvert
under the road and turns into a trickling stream, very shallow. The water
is so clear, you see the rocks of the river bed. It's Thanksgiving weekend
and a bit chilly.

The Dam and River Cliffs- Kerville, Texas
This 22" x 36" oil painting was painted in 1985. Under the trees on
the cliffs, cattle are grazing. In this picture, I'm looking to my right,
down the road and in the connecting picture, I'm looking all the way left,
up the road. The water passes through a culvert, under the road. The sound
of the water falling over the little dam is very meditative as I paint. It's
a clear crisp day. These 2 paintings are a set.

Gus Fur Austin Greenbelt - Austin, Texas
This 22" x 30" oil painting was painted in 2006.
The Austin Greenbelt is a secret place back through the neighborhoods to a special place
I walk down to the nature trail. The water was full in the pool at Gus Fur and it was emerald green.
Peaceful and quite so close to down town Austin.

This 24" x 38" acrylic painting was painted in 1995. Papago Park is a beautiful park in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. The botanical garden lies to the right of the scene and the mysterious Red Rocks are evidence of Indian sacred ground. This painting looks like it is in the remote desert, but actually it is right in town. The Sky Harbor Airport is just off the left of the picture and planes land every 10 to 20 seconds. McDowell Rd is just the other side of the grand Red Rock and packed with traffic. Camelback Mountain is in the distance in the center of the painting. Picture of Chris Johnson with her picture of Papago Park on painting location in Sedona, Arizona.

Schnebly Hill Upper View, Sedona,AZ
This 28" x 30" oil painting was painted in 1995. Almost to the top of this long slow drive up Schnebly Hill, Sedona, Arizona is a small camping spot with this view. In the old days, they would take cattle up this trail and over the mountain to Flagstaff, Arizona. This was a breathtaking view and a photography student took me and my painting standing with the view in the background. Picture of Chris Johnson on location in Sedona, Arizona.
