Mayan Ruins, Palenque, Mexico - The Palace
This is a 24" x 36" oil painting. Painted from high on top of the
Temple of the Sun, this view of the Mayan Ruins at Palenque, Mexico
captures most of the main structures of the sight.
"The Palace" is to the right with the high tower in the center of the courtyard.
To the distant left is a massive temple that holds some very strange drawing
on the walls of the rooms inside. They resemble a spaceman. In the left
foreground is the temple of the Inscriptions.

The Mystical Ruins at Tulum, Mexico
This 28" x 40" oil painting was painted in 1994 near the back wall of the
Tulum Mayan Ruins. This picture captures most of the major structures and
covers a lot of area at the site including the main temple. The atmosphere
of the place has a ghostly magical feeling and the mysticism surrounding
the ruins leaves one wondering about it's purpose. Certain structures contain
many strategic astrological alignments.

Sitting high on a verande looking east. This area has been developed, but long ago
were also Mayan cities. There is one hill in mid right in the painting that is believed
to be a Mayan temple. There are many underground passages in this area,
though most of the Mayan artifacts have been long taken from the area.
