Sunset at Cane Bay, North Shore, St. Croix USVI
This 25" x 34"", oil painting was painted in 2002. Sitting on the boat ramp near the Cane Bay Beach Bar looking west to Davis Bay all the way to Ham's Bluff. This is a very wide scene, about a 120 degrees view. The sunset goes quick, so I paint fast.

Cane Bay from Off The Wall - 2001, St Croix USVI
This 24" x 34" oil painting was painted in 2001. Sitting west of the "Off the Wall Restaurant" I found one tree for shade as I painted this view. For a small painting as this, there is a lot of land in this scene. I like to concentrate on the water and how it comes into the bay.

Sugar Mill at Estate Site, Tipperary, St Croix USVI
This 18" x 34" oil painting was painted from the serene cow pasture at Estate Site, Tipperary. The old stones must tell a story and the view from where I sit goes all the way to Great Pond on the South Shore.

Mill and Ruins at Coakley Bay, St. Croix, USVI
This 18" x 34" oil painting was painted in 2002. Ruins are so intriging to me having painted many Mayan Ruins in Mexico. The silence they hold is a mystery. The ruins at Coakley Bay Beach are sitting out on the small peninsula where the waves crash against the rocks.

Coakley Bay Beach and Mill (Sundown looking East), St. Croix, USVI
This 28" x 38" oil painting was painted in 2002. Sitting on the beach at Coakley Bay, looking east. The beach is full of interesting rocks and shells. I study the way the sand looks like moon craters. The clouds turn pink at sundown.

Coakley Condos from the Road, St. Croix, USVI
I was sitting along the main road near a guardrail when I painted this painting. The East End was so dry that at times fires were burning in front of my view while I painted this picture.

Christiansted Town from the Cay, St. Croix, USVI
I have painted this scene of "Christiansted from the Cay" 5 times in 30 years. The original first painting was destroyed in a restaurant fire in 1981. Back then, the Christiansted Fort was red. Coming back to St. Croix I had to do this scene again to see the changes that have taken place.

Cane Bay from the Boat Ramp - 2001 St. Croix, USVI
This 28" x 38" oil painting was painted in 2001. Sitting on one of the boat ramp pilings, I paint Davis Bay all the way to Hams Bluff where a lighthouse is located. You can see the Mill in this picture, but the painting a year later the fauna has grown to cover my view of the Mill.

Cane Bay Beach from Off the Wall - 2002, St. Croix, USVI
This 28" x 38" oil painting was painted in 2002. Sitting in my same spot from "Off the Wall" I am changing my view a bit to capture the water hitting the rocks on the shoreline in front of me.

Christiansted from the Cay - 2002, St. Croix, USVI
This oil painting of Christiansted from the Cay is the most recent. Changes occur quickly these days in downtown Christiansted and in this painting the King Christian Hotel building has changed colors from yellow to pink.
